Browser Speed Tests: Firefox 7, Chrome 14, Internet Explorer 9, and More

Opera comes up as the fastest browser as usual with Chrome surprisingly in last place.

How fast does a browser need to be? It can never be fast enough to compensate for bottlenecks in the network or local system. So is "speed" even a meaningful measure of what makes the "best" browser? For me, extensibility is far more important. I'll happily sacrifice a barely noticeable bit of speed for the extra facilities I get with Firefox plus all my favourite extensions.
