Went to see 'Wall Street: Money never sleeps' or whatever the title. Michael Douglas was good, the cast wasn't bad, but film was rubbish, gimecky and shallow.

I agree. Not great.

I've seen a few films recently and haven't been impressed by any of them.

Inception:  I was looking forward to this but found it hugely over hyped. Way too long. I left before it finished.

Salt:  Saw this in a friends house. Crap, and the one unpredictable twist at the end could not rescue it or hide the fact that there was no script. Diluted version  of the Bourne Identity combined with the Fugitive and written like a pilot for a TV series.

1st Gent. Our deeds are fetters that we forge ourselves.
2nd Gent. Ay, truly: but I think it is the world that brings the iron.

You're right about inception, good but too long. My son loved it so much though he saw it with a friend and then joined us

Salt: have just bought a DVD of it: 5TL at my local store, I am now warned

Interesting that a woman should have the lead role in such a film, but I suppose that was the only thing that made it stand out from the rest. Watch out for the broad range of expressions she conveys during extreme action scenes (not), and wonder at how little dialogue her character has.
