I was pleased to hear that the original line up of Mott the Hoople are reforming for a couple of gigs in October and the tickets have been purchased. Mott were the first live band that i saw. This was prior to the Bowie "glam" period, in 1971. I still look back and think that it was the best gig that i have ever seen. So, what was the first band that you saw live?

Eel Pie Island??  When I played around there as a kid there was only just enough room for about twenty people if you threw the residents out.
